What is Linux Services ?
Linux Services is a group of competent and experienced IT specialists who enjoy working in the Linux/Unix enviroment.
Spectrum of activities
We generally prefer to work in the above mentioned field, however we are also well accustomed to different products and operating systems.
Why do we actually use (and not only) Linux ?
We use Linux, because:
- it is not our desire to offer "well-known" software companies as beta testers, (that is a service, one should actually be paid for!).
- real innovation can only take place with open source software and not by market-strategic advisement-with the motto:the market is not yet ripe.
- new version of software do not necessarily contain many new features.
- this system is very stable and secure.
- we can influence the development of this software.
- commercial software, particularly within the standard range, is mostly too expensive.
How is Linux Services organized ?
Anyone who identifies with this site is welcomed to publish a profile and will be provided with a personal e-mail address "name@linux-services.org".The only commitment will be: helping and supporting colleagues during project searches and representing our organistion to our customers.
